Silver darlings

Three pieces,

Weighted, welded and worn together

– daughter, mother, grandmother

Linking and encircling like an umbilical cord

They say I’ve got her eyes

But when I look, I use my hands

To blindly cradle and caress

These metallic curves

-modern, solid, familiar

Silver darlings caught around a neck,

Reflecting light and handed down.
