Arrival

The road from Damascus, was

Goodbyes, hellos and laws

To Glasgow, appearing like a half-opened eye

Blinking in the drizzle and the dark, but still refuge,

Revealing so little and promising so much

Beckoning Freedom Come All Ye

So long as ye come quietly and we choose ye

Towels, beds and embarrassment heaped high

Tenderness in limited supply
